There is nothing better than showing up to a session and just letting things happen on their own. This family is no stranger to my photographic style and I love that they just let them be little.  I have been documenting Preston since he was pint sized in mama’s itty bitty bump and I have been loving every minute of it. I love watching him grow, each time we get together he is doing something new. His newest milestone is running. Trust me, I chased him, a lot. I think I am just going to add 18-24 month olds to my workout regimen. I could potentially drop 5 lbs in the first week if I did it twice a day. It will be like the new fad diet specifically for moms and photographers alike. Who else has an active toddler that can help me on this journey?

Let me start off by apologizing to the Jezik family for getting them into beggars lice in their brand new clothes. This isn’t the first time I have done this, however, it’s always been me that gets into it. It’s also worth mentioning that I have a capsule wardrobe (more on that later). So I do not have many pant options to begin with. Currently I have three pairs of those pants full of beggars lice from three different sessions. I have not yet taken the time to clean them up and I honestly don’t know the best way. I am open to suggestions. Now you all know why I have been wearing the same pants for the last week. On another note, isn’t this family awesome? I always love working with them. Since Jaclyn is an amazing photographer herself, I find myself not giving them any direction at all. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I’ll go out on a limb and say they turned out all right. Enjoy!

Just have a look at that color palatte! It comes are no surprise that this adorable family arrived so cohesively. The organizer of this clan knows how to dress the part as she is a wonderful photographer herself. Speaking of organizing, can we talk for a minute about “Aly’s Art Drive”? I am in absolute awe of what this community  can accomplish when everyone comes together. I would love to document this story from the very beginning stages of the drive next year as a personal project. I hope they allow me to do so! I felt it necessary to include a couple of extra photos of mom in here for a couple of reasons. A) She is surrounded by boys all the time B) She’s adorable, it’s as simple as that. Also, you may be wondering whether this is my first blog post. Or not, either way is okay! I won’t call you out if you didn’t notice, but I do hope that you come back and watch it grow. I have been trying to get this up and running for a really long time now. Although it’s still not fully ready, this family deserves it, so we are going to give it a whirl! I have been shooting this family since day one and they have always been by my side. I will also mention that this beautiful mama has been by my side since we were little girls. So they hold a special place in my heart. Take a glimpse into this session and you too will see why I think they are worth it.
